Advantages of Using a Steam Cleaner

Throw away your filthy mop and smelly rag, and say hello to the modern steam cleaner. A steam cleaner is a surface cleaning machine that resembles a vacuum cleaner. However, unlike a vacuum cleaner which only gets rid of surface dirt, a steam cleaner uses hot steam to penetrate deep into the carpet's fibre. The steam loosens up dirt which is then sucked back up mixed with water that is thrown away at a later time.

The steam cleaner offers a lot more advantages compared to the traditional vacuum cleaner and mop. First, the steam that the appliance emits is hot enough to kill invisible bacteria, mould, fungi, and dust mites that thrive in carpets and floors. In other words, it disinfects and cleans at the same time.

In traditional methods, you are required to soak a mop or rag in harmful chemicals if you want to deodorise your floor or carpet; not with a steam cleaner. It only uses water and electricity to heat it. Because it utilises less than a gallon of water as its main cleaning component and does not use any chemicals, a steam cleaner is ecologically friendly.

The appliance is also very easy to use. Just pour water into the tank where the water is heated up to approximately 230 to 260 degrees Fahrenheit. At this point, the water evaporates and becomes steam. When you depress the cleaning button, the steam travels to an internal tube and is dispersed when it reaches the cleaning head. Move it the way you use a vacuum cleaner and you will get your carpets cleaned in no time.

Because the steam contains very little moisture, the cleaned surface usually dries after 15 minutes. This prevents bacteria, moulds, and fungi to re-grow since these pathogens thrive in wet, warm surfaces.
